Whatcha got on order? (Traditional Knives Only)

Nice Brett!! I have an old 110. Dad just got it at the hardware store so it's the basic model but he carried and used it for probably 20 years straight. He gave it to me when he decided to go with a more pocket friendly knife. I stuck it in my tackle box so that it goes fishing with me every time I go.

That's what it is about to me. The 110 is probably to big to carry everyday for my needs but being able to hand down a memory is always pocketable. Thanks Jake for compliment and the story. This one may end up in my daughter's glove box one day but the memory will be there. ;)

I've got a tough week ahead of me. Work is going to be HECTIC, plus I've got two exams, a quiz and a report due for school. But here's what will be waiting for me at the end of it all. A few nice little projects I can sink myself into and bask in the simplicity. I plan to keep the Case for myself and one of those OT stockmans. I've never had a stockman before, I need to see what all the fuss is about. The others I'll probably sell, trade or give to someone in need.

Queen 69 Barlow, only it's not a 'Barlow' as it is small bolster but uses the 69 frame. I'm looking forward to this unusual knife, my first new Queen Cutlery for some time. Fingers crossed...

A Mink Skinner from Black Mamba should be here tomorrow. Smooth black synthetic peanuts, teardrop, and stockman might make it by the weekend. 65-69 & 1970 6333 small stockman's may also make it here by saturday. That's 8 this week, I'm such a Bad Boy..........:D

P~ in comparing the Patriot, that you carried for sometime, to the recent Fiddlebacks what about the Fiddleback made you switch? I apologize if you covered this in another thread previously.

Brett, I still carry the Patriot, especially when a side pocket provides the perfectly proportioned perch for my KSF 2-compartment pocket sheath.

And, I still heartily recommend the Patriot to anyone considering a "pocketable" fixed blade. Its usefulness and in-hand comfort belie its very portable size, and its price point and (currently) steady availability make it more fun to recommend than yet another knife that someone will not find for themselves easily.

As for the "switch," I'm still not sure what has just happened, and is ongoing!

I collided with a perfect blue, and I am loving what I'm discovering. The knives. The men who are making and enjoying them. Shadetree's burlap. The sheathmakers and leather that pants 'em.

I've written, am writing, more about all of this here. :)

... I expect the Stubby Muk to fit in with my WLSTs and Whaler(s), ie, the funny-wow factor in a tool that's well-crafted and suited for work, if less practical in my day-to-day life than other options? But look forward to finding out. :D

My first S&M F&W deluxe quart Barlow in stag and a S&M Keystone series Wharncliffe Barlow in stag. I love the way they look and hope they are as nice in person.

I just placed an order for a Canal Street Coppersmith K Bar Barlow. Hope I like it. Collector Knives gives it a 9 rating.

I'm very happy with my recent S&M purchases (F&W gunstock in stag, and a Keystone 69 in burnt bone). I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of yours and hearing how you like them.

SFO from a cutler in Auxerre, France. Tonneau pattern. Should be here in a week or so. Very excited about this one!

That is a VERY sharp looking knife, Rick. I'm looking forward to seeing pics of when you receive it.

Thank you, John. Not sure if I can take pics that good but I'll dang sure give it a shot and post them in the "Latest Addition" thread.

Alright, so I went a little crazy this weekend... I now have a Cripple Creek Barlow, an S&M Half Whittler, an S&M Moose, a Case Stockman, and a SAK Deluxe Tinker inbound.

I think it's fair to say, I'm addicted to traditionals!

BTW! I just realized this is my 1000th post! Looks like it's time for a GAW! I'll set something up this week. :D

Impulse buys got me on Sunday. Picked up a TC15, an Ebony 83, an OD Bullnose, and a couple moderns to put on keychains.

Very attractive Rick. I'm expecting a Case mini Copperlock in peach seed later this week. Hoping in time for Thanksgiving.

After accumulating 110+ knives , I finally have a Peanut on the way. Rogers Jigged Walnut Bone
Plus a Seahorse Whittler in the same Walnut Bone
