While waiting for the GEC #78 I ordered another knife I have wanted for a while. It's in the post and should be mine in a couple of days. Otter slip joint with bone handle and 90 mm carbon steel blade.

We have similar tastes. I also chose ebony as one of the Doms I ER'd. Have a GEC 71 in muslin micarta too but that is only standby.
I thought all of the maple burl Vipers were "standby" only? Something about an unsure quantity or something. I have a standby for that one as well, put in fairly early. I hope we get them, I love burls.
This came fast. Not my picture yet, but looks the same. I can't find major flaws, the edge is fine, no gaps in the handle. Centering when closed is just a bit off, but does not rub, you have to look closely to see it. The action is smooth and has a nice firm pull. So I'm happy I bought this.
GEC #78 two blade with stag handle. I'm waiting for confirmation. Hopefully I will get it. Edit: and the confirmation arrived. The clock is tikking.
That is a very nice looking knife Sir !!!View attachment 870112 Got an Al Warren that should be coming in his week.
Should have a '90 remington 1306SB by weeks end and just ordered a bowen R1306B. Always wanted a bullet knife even if it is a reproduction.. anybody have any of these? Hoping they are decent. Pictures look good!
Alan, I can't quite read the tang stamp on the top knife. Is that one of A.G. Russell's CM series knives? These two in a few days and several that are too far out to mention.

Rick, I'm not familiar with the CM series. It says AGRussell over Sprningdale, ARK. This is the stainless version. It was also available in brass. I've always liked it, especially the brass. I got lucky with a bid, so now it's mine.Alan, I can't quite read the tang stamp on the top knife. Is that one of A.G. Russell's CM series knives?
