Whatcha got on order? (Traditional Knives Only)

Thanks, I look foward to pics of your Imperial
That ruby red bone is quite attractive, Kris. Congratulations.

I just picked up an older Imperial (before they did shell construction) jack knife in an auction that will be coming to me from up near your neck of the woods, Missoula.

Just got a Case 6318 in a trade, SS with bone scales that look a little like delrin. Nice stockman.

Getting some nice trades in, including a Case Bose mini saddlehorn trapper SS, older Winchester stockman (80's Queen make I believe), a Case stag peanut SS, a Queen single blade trapper CZ wood and last but not least, a Victorinox black alox Pioneer to replace the one I lost in my accident.

Waiting on confirmation from the dealer, but using an award I got at work to pay for a Queen cattle king with ACSB scales, a GEC canoe hunter with bocote scales, a Case punch stockman with CV blades, and a Case Bose backpocket semi skinner. To top it all off, I am getting a deck of GEC playing cards with the order. Naw, gonna save those cards, don't want them covered with pizza sauce and beer ;).

Also have an order for a Rod Garcia Skookum bush tool coming up sometime soon. Maybe November by the latest. Hopefully going to a gun show tomorrow with my father and little brother, it will be a little show at the VFW hall, but you know how slipjoints show up at these little shows. I am tapped out!

Waiting on a stunning cocobolo 72 lockback and a stag 23 linerlock. My last knife purchases for a long time so I figured I'd make them count ;)

Well, I looked at pinnah's post and pic. Then I looked at the price. $25 at one of my favorite online retailers. Then I considered the manufacturer. I was hooked.

Ah. Wasn't sure how far afield you were willing to go with Sodbuster *type* and was keying in on "bang for the buck".

I find that knives, for me, are emotional issues and a certain brand or pattern is associated with fond memories, nothing else will do.

Speaking about good memories (for me) and "bucks", the other classic American work knife that can be holster carried is the Buck 112. I'm not suggesting the 112. But...

Q: What happens when you put a Case Sodbuster and a Buck 112 in a bag and give it a good shake?

A: You get the Buck Ecolite 112.

I've had mine for about a few weeks now and it won't leave my pocket. The Paperstone scales very much remind me of the Case Sodbuster, as do the general dimensions. I really dig the broad flat back for hard cutting. At the same time, it's definitely a Buck 112 in terms of its lines, which invokes deep memories for me, but probably not for you.

Bought back an Ontario RAT punch stockman I had originally traded to my favorite knife shop in MD. Along with a gift for a family friend who didn't charge me for a vacation rental I had purchased that came up during my accident. He said I can use my week anytime this year or next year, he won't charge me for that time. As a small way of saying thanks, I got him a Victorinox golf tool from the same shop. I know it isn't traditional, but it is a knife for a golf nut!

I also have a Northwoods 4" stockman coming my way. Got my jonesin' for a Queen large stockman taken care of. I'm working on a possible trade for a few Case models, including an older granddaddy barlow and a scout knife. Bad thing is, I'm getting whiplash from seeing all of these nice knives for sale. Going to be driving in the next couple weeks, gas prices are bad, I've been spending the gas money on groceries for my family and filling up gas tanks when they take me to the doctor.

Here are my pair of #89s. Nice long thin blades on these. I thought the 2 blade models were single spring, kinda like a big conductor, but as you can see there are 2 thin springs. The clip rides on both springs but the pen is only on one.

Well, I guess I have a problem, huh. Better knives than cocaine, although not as slimming. Bought an old Camillus barlow, and have a Case granddaddy barlow on it's way to me from a trade. Might have a deep canyon bone humpback Case stockman on it's way from another trade.

ATS34 with an acid etch. Todd Davison is an awesome maker definitely check him out, he'll make you a linerless knife for an unbelievable price (acid etch at no extra cost).

Now that I've seen that elk #89 I'm so tempted :D

Northwoods Indian River Scagel style jack in ebony appeared in the mail yesterday. It's a sweet knife with really interesting ebony.
