Whatcha got on order? (Traditional Knives Only)

Was leaning toward a GEC Maverick but opted for a #76 Outlaw in Natural Stag (#24). What can I say, I'm a sucker for jacks these days. It's currently in the mail and should be arriving tomorrow... and I will definitely be posting pics!

Someone (sorry, I don't remember who) commented on my enjoyment of the Case 6232 jack that I should look for a 6332 stockman. I have kept an eye open for them, and found a 1973 red bone model this evening. Since one of my favorite features of the Schrade 832 is the generous sized sheepsfoot, I am eager to see what this one is like, since it is a bit larger frame stockman than the Schrade.

GEC (Northfield) #85 EO Bullet End Jack with Burnt Stag. Was leaning toward the ebony handled #85 (Tidioute), but the EO and the single blade tipped the scales to the Northfield. Will post pics when it arrives.

I just ordered the same with natural stag! Coupon codes are awesome ain't they?!;)

I've got these coming and can hardly wait:
Northfield Outlaw with copperhead bone
Northfield Maverick with primitive bone
GEC Conductor with antique yellow bone

I tell you, the best excuse to further feed my addiction is "International shipping is too expensive to have only 1 knife in the package" :D

I'm with bear1889 ... what coupon code? Did I just spend more than I had to? Very likely ... :o Still, I've been eyeing the #85s for a while, wanted to try a different blade shape than my usual clip.

Where are you buying yours from and what coupon codes? Where?

I'm first in line for a Case Lannys clip, with bone scales (going to go for antique bone if they have it, chestnut bone if they don't have antique). Just waiting on a phone call or a confirmation email.

Queen Cutlery Country Cousin. Fancied a D2 Sodbuster for a change (challenge...)

Bear1889 & Shudaizi, ya'll don't have email enabled, so shoot me an email & I'll hook ya'll up!

Bear1889, Pistonsandgears, & C Ben Susrool. Ya'll got emails...

I have a Buck Solataire coming in tomorrow. It will be my only Chairman Series and my only Cherry Dymondwood knife. I just needed a good inexpensive fix.

Not on order yet but I've been looking for something like the GEC 65 Ben Hogan lockback for quite some time. As soon as those are out to dealers I'll probably pick up one Tidioute in ebony for totin' and one NF in stag or calico bone for admiring. It'll blow out my knife budget for the rest of the year but it'll do so in style :) I won't hotlink the images here but they're up on GEC's site:

Yup, just snagged one :) I love that the calico bone looks so beautiful, but doesn't skyrocket the price like some of their other Northfield handle materials. Wish they had introduced this material earlier!

I'm not sure where to post this, so-- here you go, Steve: A story about Ben Hogan. The article refers to him as "Benedict" Hogan, but how many such characters were there in the Titusville/Oil City area in 1865? Note the cameo by French Kate. ;)

(If anyone has an official backstory on the man, and GEC's choosing to name a pattern after him, I'd appreciate it!)

Congratulations on the in-coming. :)

Mercy! that was quite a read. Thanks for the link.

Once I started I couldn't help but read the whole thing. Very interesting, both the story and the perspective and assumptions of the author. Thanks for sharing!
