A french knife (Fred Perrin Vendetta) and a puukko.

The whittler-puukko is by Juha Perttula. He is a metallurgist with a doctor's degree by profession. The blade is twice heat treated, with spring temper back and very hard edge. This should be interesting to test and use. I like the simple lines and the finger guard, allthough Finnish knives usually don't have guards.

During yesterday's Northwoods drop they posted "stragglers." I found a nice red burlap big bay to replace a black linen that I had let go. The photo is from an @L.H.S. sales post. I hope it's okay to use it. If not, please let me know and I'll pull it.

Thanks. As I said I had the black linen and couldn’t believe I lucked out on a red burlap. Actually would’ve grabbed any cover. That pattern has everything I like. The looks and the size are right in my wheelhouse and that clip point is as good as it gets.
