Whatcha got on order? (Traditional Knives Only)

When my forum knives came I made my mind up not to order any more knives for a while. In fact I have given away two from my GEC collection. I may have a couple recovered. I know there will be some temptations in the upcoming year, but with my photo gear purchase a month ago I must remain strong.

Nothing immediate but I've got a Charlie Bell Zulu and a Buck 503 from the Custom Shop on order. Both are about 4-6 weeks out.

I also plan to attend a knife show on January 25th and I'm sure I'll pick up something there too. With any luck, these will all land in my hands around the same time.

I’ve got a great 3” semi-skinner from Col. Owen Baker that handles all of my deer hunting tasks -up to large Axis bucks- perfectly. I plan on doing some elk hunting and wanted something a little larger so I just ordered this Woodsman Nessmuck from Lucas Forge. It’s his take on the Nessmuk design with a 4 1/4” blade of O-1 steel and curly maple handles. The website shows a 1 year lead time. Hopefully I’ll be able to post my actual example this time next year.

I've got two Case Baby Butterbean knives coming my way. One is is Crandall green, with lined bolsters, and the other is plain, smooth white bone with no shield. Hopefully, the white one will arrive Friday, and the green one a day or two later.

Got my first GEC on the way, #92 Eureka Jack in green micarta. Love the blade combination. I'm pretty stoked. Wishing I came across it in time to have it for the weekend.

I succumbed to temptation, and have a Case Swayback Jack in crimson bone headed my way, as well.

It's an addiction... :(

Old Hickory 6” “Hunting knife”. Looks like a small butcher knife, comes with a sheath for $19.99 from OKC. I’ll be curious to see how it stacks up against the 5” Green River Fish Knife.
Should compare favorably …

A friend bought me that Old Hickory model in "kit" form, over at one of the muzzleloading supply houses, along with some cutler rivets.
(It did not come with sheath, daRn it.) Seems like a nice/good knife.

Well I bought another 8ot. Cost me $22, near my cutoff price, but it's a slightly older one with ny on the stamp and seems unused. It cant hurt to have another, right?

I may be looking at another 34ot. Lots of delrin usa schrades going for cheap lately.

So I received a Waynorth Black Jack yesterday - it's probably too nice/valuable to carry. I have one more knife on reserve and then I swear I am taking a break (if I keep saying it I may actually believe it;)) - a GEC Easy Pocket Congress in Unicorn Ivory. I do plan to carry this one. Based on production photos, it will probably be a few weeks.

Agreed, I buy up most of the 93ot/893 knives I can find under my limit. I also like the 861 and 863 knives when in unused condition and reasonable.

I have several Ulster made Craftsman knives on the way. I've had a recent affinity for the small pen and jack knife versions.

Also have a Queen Barlow on the way with a clip main and the hidden backspring. Looked unused in the photos.

I ended up buying another seemingly unused 34ot, cost 21 bucks. I also bought an 807uh jr stockman for really cheap that I will give to my dad after I sharpen and clean it up a little. Doesn't look like it needs much. I got him hooked on carrying a jr stockman but he won't do any knife maintenance so the stainless UH may be better for him.

I had better stop for now before they keep adding up. Need to save up for the big stuff.

I'm currently looking to fill in or upgrade my Schrade wire jack collection. With that in mind, I just added a small hawkbill with an early 1926 patent date. It looks a little rough but it fills a need. Should arrive soon.
