Whatcha got on order? (Traditional Knives Only)

I'm sure that is gonna be a great knife Jack. A very good alternative to the #15 (I'm guessing).

Thanks mate. Yeah, it was the only other GEC pattern available here that I really fancied. As you know the selection available is very limited, but hopefully, and with thanks to Andi, I picked something I'll like.

Sure. Its got a little better, but we certainly aren't blessed with as wide an array as our American cousins....

...probably for the best mind! I'm not buying anymore knives ;)

A slipjoint by Raymond L. Smith :)

^^ And a Barlow no less! They certainly are de rigueur ;)

I shall look forward to seeing that one once complete sir.

Scruffuk,

Yes it is a Barlow! The "Big" model.
Normally in mammoth and without decorations on the liners.
I show it to you as soon as it is finished!

Pertinux,

Yes, I hop that with my bad English I did not command(order) to ray a knife in kit. :p

Belerofon26 is registered on the same French forum of knives as me.
While seeing this photo it tempted me.
( My Barlow should look like that of the one in the middle but with 3 lines on the bolster)

Then I contacted Ray who very friendly accepted my order and to make some photo during the construction of the knife.

The pair arrived today. I'm really liking the #53. It has a nice, clean, symmetric look. The single spring makes it less thick than the 2 spring models which are pocketable in their own right. This one has smooth cam tangs with great snap both open and closed. 5 on the pull scale. The #72 is great for someone who wants a stouter jack. Blade pull is about a 6-7 on both with great snap open, closed and to half stop. I have no complaints for this one but I think I'd like a #73EC jack instead. I kinda like the #73's drop point profile better and I've learned I prefer the look of end caps.

Got an old Camillus model n° 67 off a big auction site. It has been used quite a lot, but there's still some life in it. Looking forward to get it.

^^ Oh that does look devilishly good!

I imagine the hues and shades of colour in that will change as the light of day does.
It will really be alive....and quite beautiful.

Great picture of that 53 Trand, I'm keen on single-spring knives as this one strikes me as a monster Pen, would favour a Northfield version too.

Chambriard le compact in ebony with multiple pins is on its way from France. i already have one in stag and its large sibling le compagnon. These are very decent knives.

Thanks, will
