Whatcha listnin to oo oo?

For some strange reason, this showed up in my feed. It's not my usual cup of tea but it has heavy '80s vibes so I tuned in.

Strangely enough, it has Dave Lombardo (Slayer and, uh.. weird) and Tim Capello (sax player who was in Lost Boys) in it.

Another one that showed up in my feed. I didn't know K.K. Downing was making new music - here he is, paired up with Tim "Ripper" Owens. Big fan of Downing and I'm a fan of Owens too, though Halford will always be the voice of Judas Priest for me.

He had a few decent songs filling in for Rob, but he's no Metal God.

Did you hear his albums with Iced Earth? I feel that is quintessential Owens.
It's funny, years ago a guy I used to work with loaned me an Iced Earth CD and was like "if you like Priest you'll like this". This was soon after the Ripper years with Priest, and as soon as I heard the voice I was like I know that singer. Looked at the liner notes and saw his name lol. Kind of like Adam Lambert singing for Queen, he can hit the highs, but just doesn't have the same overall range.

Iced Earth was best with Matt Barlow. Ripper was fine and I think the band brought out his best but Matt was Iced Earth’s soul.

Max Richter's soundtrack from the movie Perfect Sense.

Here's one of the songs:

And something else that you will either hate or love.

Ramin Djawadi and his soundtracks for Game of Thrones, Westworld, & House of the Dragon.

Lorne Balfe's soundtrack from the movie 13 Hours.
