Whatchalisteninto?

What ya need on the playlist..is some Dave Matthews Band or from his solo CD and his LIVE CD's with Tim Reynolds..The bands new album Big Whiskey The GrooGrux King..is awesome!!

My favorite is "Shake me like a Monkey" and "You & Me" oh wait "Funny the way it is" is great too...Crap the whole CD is great!!!

As far as your play list you need some more Beastie Boys, Pearl Jam (early stuff) and a must is LIVE...the first album they did...Mental Jewerly is great, "Throwing Copper" got too air play then everyone liked them...also you gotta love Johnny Cash, (I am not a country fan but I do love him) and Etta James...Oh and Billie Holiday...that lady could sing the Blues:)

Just my 2 cents but I think you should check it out

Yep, you got some good suggestions here (So do some other HOGs, thx!!) and I'll be adding more as time goes by. Each playlist allows up to 200 tracks, and you can create unlimited playlists at this website (www.playlist.com) and the best part??? It costs nothing to set up an account and use the site. thumbup: Ya can't download these tracks (I don't think) but it's nice to have for listening while on the computer and you can browse & play other people's playlists too. (No spam here, folks... I just like the site and figured I'd give the place a free plug. :))

Apocalyptica
Kings of Leon (Notion)

GUNTHER!!!!!

Right on Jason! Gotta love Acid Bath... I've actually been listening to agents of oblivion the past two days...

Today in order on the mix.

1. Fleetwood Mac
2. Audioslave
3. Cypress Hill
4. Godsmack
5. Andre 3000
6. CCR
7. Thievery Corporation
8. Rolling Stones

That's just how I roll.

Thievery Corp is probably my favorite downtempo collective. I think I have all of their albums. My 2 month-old daughter LOVES their stuff. I was VERY surprised when I learned they are American. If you're a fan of Thievery Corp., check into:

Koop
St. Germain
Groove Armada
Kruder and Dorfmeister
Nightmares on Wax
Koop
Zero-7
Jazzanova

And if anyone here is into contemporary Brazilian stuff, ála Bebel Gilberto, you should definitely check into Céu. Her self-titled debut album is FULL of lush sounds and jazz-influenced vocal riffs. A VERY good album, though I'm not fluent in Portuguese.

I mostly listen to music in my car these days, and since the baby's been born, I don't get much time to drive around. On top of that, the JL 10w6 in my trunk seems to have blown a voice-coil, so that makes it frustrating to be in my car. Ugh.

By the way: Andre 3000's verse on Da Art of Storytelling pt. IV may be the best of the year. Amazing.
"I started off starvin'. Now they got me out here 'Brett Favre-in' trying to see if I still got it..."

If anyone is interested in a Best of Andre 3000 mixtape created by fam, hit me up, and I'll get it out to you. He's in my "Top 5 greatest of all time."

On a totally different note, has anyone listened to Richard Cheese. Very funny/odd to hear some modern hits as Lounge music.

If you like Use Once, check out Lethal Dose of American Hatred

Saw them in Bellefontaine Ohio like two years back, killer show. You know that Hank Williams III is the bassist right?
