I know quite a few of you have crazy amounts of money to throw around judging by your collections, so lets hear it. I made the mistake when I was in school (I'm now 27) to major in drinking and partying, so I left with a BA in liberal arts which as far as degrees are concerned, is relatively useless. Now I'm a CNC machinist, which hasn't required a degree. Here's the kicker, my company offered to send me back to school for a BS in Mechanical Engineering, I think i'm going to take them up on that offer before I get any older.

So what did you all go to school for and what do you do currently?

Safecracking. A very handy skill both for cash replenishment and more importantly used for gaining access to well protected INFI stashes.

I also have a B.S. in BS... :foot:

;)

I didn't finish high school and got a job as forklift truck driver for a couple of years. In the meanwhile I got interested in computers and did college in Information Technology. After that when I was way in my twenties I attended the university to major in Economics as well. I am glad I did, financially I am incomparably better off as an account/auditor than driving a forklift truck. On the other hand, I wouldn't say that controlling annual accounts for Fortune 500 companies was a childhood dream of mine. You can't have it all in your life.

school: film and media. loved it, but it has zip to do with how I make a living.

career: software consulting/project management. self-taught, now 15yrs deep.

I went to school to meet women. didn't really work out, though, my wife hunted me down using the power of the internet.

school!? I'm not even finished yet, about 6 months left, and then i got a bachelor degree in Media Design.

Bachelors in Fine arts with a concentration in sculpture and alot or art history classes. Been making a living in a maintenance dept at a University for tha last 10 years + part time teaching & a tiny custom jewelry business.

All of this would explain why my Busse collection takes so long to grow.

Hi 230 Grain
I am a machinist too right now working in tool and die. I hope you take your company up on the offer for the schooling 230 Grains. I work with a guy that did engineering [he has the skills but not a degree ] as an engineer he made $80,000 as a tool and die machinist he makes about $ 50,000, that $30,000 will buy alot of toys, and engineers dont work night shift.

Both my BS and PhD are in physics. Right now I'm doing academic research, but job searching for something in the private sector or government labs. The academic life is great if you love research and nothing else, but I love camping and hiking and climbing and spending time with my fiance, and all of those cut into the time that I could otherwise be using to publish papers and write grant proposals.

Well, my parents kinda made me go to school. And man was I glad when the 12th grade was over!

I received my BS in accounting and my CPA certificate. Pretty boring but steady work.

I have BA, MA, and PhD degrees in linguistics, earned in 1987, 1988, and 1994, respectively. My PhD minor field was Japanese.

I went to school for the party...
and walked away with a BA in Liberal Arts too....
Now I make my living spending other peoples money to have fun. :D :foot:

So 230grains... don't think that you can't make some $$$ with that degree. ;)

It's worked out quite well for me. :)

B.A. in Visual Communications with Major in Illustration and Photography. I do illustration for fun now and walked away from a successful career in illustrative photography for personal reasons in my mid 30s.
I am currently a school district carpenter @ 43 and am preparing to go back to school to get my teaching certificate.
