What'll be your first knife purchase of 2005?

My first knife of 2005 was Jim Rodebaugh's third knife ever. He's a Mastersmith now! :D

Showed it to him a couple weeks ago. He was rather suprised to see it again.

This year:
- Buck Alpha Hunter
- Boker Magnum Dagger Pohl design
- Boker Leo-Damascus Folder

My next knives will probably be the Spyderco Police (limited edition with snakes in the handle) and the Benchmade Mel Pardue Axislock 720S, a shop nearby sells this BM model with a 40% discount. LUCKY ME!

Regards.

My first purchase for 2005 has been 2 Spyderco's. I went in to buy the Manix but finally got to see the Native III and had to have it as well. How many times is this going to happen? Anyway, the Native is absolutely perfect in form and is one of the most comfortable knifes you could ever put in your hand. It is now my weekend EDC. It is a little too agressive looking for the office.

My first purchases for 2005 a Spyderco Chinook 1, a Benchmade mini Darkstar, a Benchmade Apparition, and 3 Le Camaringues (sp).

since the new year, Ive picked up a couple of slip joints, a 3-7/8" Moore maker stockman with a honey color jigged bone scale. I really like this knife. nice blade shape, f/f, and sits in the pocket nice.
A Buick of a stockman, 4-1/4" German Eye Brand with stag handle.
Also picked up a queen stage handle whittler with D2 blade steel, and CRKT/ Carson Titanium M16. Its fun.

And just this past weekend picked up a beauty at the ECCK show in NYC. I picked up a custom PJ Tomes slip joint clip blade trapper with jigged bone scales. I really really like this guys work. Its a user, and its in the pocket on call.

I think I'll buy cheap stuff (i.e. got the old CS Kobun (AUS 8)) and I plan to either get the CRKT Companion or some good serrated utility folder (any recommendations?)

have swapped for several, BM skirmish, extrema ratio fulcrum 11 tanto, spyderco SS PE ATR, but bought my first this week, a spyderco ti ATR plain edge from NGK.
