For many of you this would be a piece of cake but for a very part-time maker like myself this is a huge workload to get done by the end of Nov. Some of these have been sitting around for awhile waiting on a bigger batch to send out. I also have 2-3 other knives that will be added to make a shipment of AEBL to Peters more economical. The AEBL will be sent off to Peters and 1084 and AL Damascus to Darrin Sanders. I'm also gonna be cutting blocks out of the feathered walnut slab the blanks are sitting on and getting them with a bunch of Koa out to K&G.

Working on a hunter in W2 with a hamon. Managed to get something going using my brick forge. Not the optimum HT procedure but it did harden and did leave some hamon for me to mess with. I consulted with Ryan W before attempting. He was a lot of help and seems to be a great guy.

Man I wish I had some empanadas right now!

LCKT707 that's a nice little blade. How'd you find the red cf?

Thank you very much! This was made by a quasi-small time maker from the Netherlands who does soooo many cool things with carbon fiber. It's non Kevlar too, still glass fibre and very strong when woven with the graphite(?) carbon fiber. He also uses different colored resins and dyes to make some really unique stuff. I can't wait to order more when he has time. CarbonWaves or TurboCarbon I believe it is

Damn Pablo, you're making me hungry! I've always wanted to roast something in the kiln after a day of HT, haven't gotten around to it yet.

LOL
For the empanadas I used residual heat, already made many cakes in it :D

A yanagiba and a message to its future owner

Just got today back my Elmax 3,78mm :D
From 250mm x 1000mm I got 20 knives: 6x Manticore, 6x Gryphon, 4x Sphinx, 4x Hephaestus.
And there is some material left for japanese style razors or something like that ;)

On photos, blanks already have initial edge finish after Water-jet cutting and have drilled lanyard holes and 6,5mm holes for brass fasteners ( no more tapping tang :D )

If i don't write in long time, that will be because overworked myself to status: Dead. :D

Great looking folder! How steep of a learning curve was it compared to a traditional fixed blade, if you don't mind me asking? :)

Knocked a couple grinds out today....

It was hard for me, but it's not really that difficult. Just watch the the barker knives and the sugar creek forge video.

Let me know if you have any questions or ask on the forum.

This is the first of several knives I will be making with bear bone handles from a very successful hunt for Black Bear in Maine. This however, is the first one I am doing in Damascus Steel. Not done, which if you look carefully will be obvious, but I wanted to show you where I am with it and also a pic for the future owner.
