This is a crude prototype I've been testing. I gave one to a buddy (an avid hunter) one just like it to test out for awhile. It looks pretty rough right now because I didn't really sand it much. It is crazy sharp though!

Here's my humble lil guy. Second knife under my belt. 1084 hidden tang with off white paper micarta. Was quite a struggle keeping the nickel from smudging onto the micarta when sanding. Also thought I'd try my hand at a bit of scrimshaw to give it a little detail. Used white waterproof ink. Moving onto a leather sheath for it next.

Thank you. It's a block of Bocote I got in a combo deal from Woodcraft. Not bad if you wait until they go on sale. It's a mixed bag and you're not sure what you're going to get. But I've been lucky so far and haven't gotten any junk pieces. Good for just starting out.

I really like thus little user. The wood and color reminds me of dark elk antler. Great job man

I did get some antler on sale from usaknifemaker a while back, just waiting for an opportunity to use it.

Looking forward to doing some scrimshaw on real bone. I've heard it's quite soft compared to micarta.

This one is a pretty simple user with Brown canvas Micarta w/ White and Forest Green Liners and deferentially heat treated 1095 7 1/2" overall

....AND this one is Jade G10 with Micarta liners and same as the above one...

Eh. Nothin to earth shatterin or shnazzy but thought Id share...just cause

Beautiful knife I knew that I saw somewhere this shape, but I was not sure where . Now I know and you can believe it or not but a few days ago I cut out this shape .....free hand draw. Steel is from circular saw blade for wood . I did not want to throw this piece .... large radius /choil ?? / is hole of the saw and from that point I started to draw ........ here are the results ....... copyright protection

Thanks actually the one in the middle is alligator Gar hide.It works almost like bone but made up of individual scales.
