Poland made antiscale coating does good job!

I sent out a bunch of buckeye burl to K&G to get stabilized with no color, and I kind of regretted it when I got them back. Now I don't. Some stellar natural buckeye action here.

I'm digging that blade

Just finished this cutlass the other day. I took pictures of the entire progress for the cutlass WIP thread

That cutlass is friggin epic! Nice job.

Was able to squeeze some time in the shop today. Concepts for variations of a 3 finger necker. And profiling.

That's freakin' awesome JT, in every way.

I've just finished this Becker blank for a customer. The hamon is dirty, but, for what I'm charging to finish this knife it's as good as it's going to get.

Just picked these up. Maybe be able to make something out of them one day. What type of steel y'all suppose these are?

Well if thy are a good brand then thy would be 52100. Some cheep bearings will be case hardened but 52100 is the indistory standard for bearings

That came out of some type of machine at nabisco in PA about 10-15 years ago. I'd assume they aren't cheap but could be wrong.

Edit. They are marked FAG 3818A Germany.

Probably not exactly 52100 then but something really close called 1.23456890

Almost, but not quite done with this custom. Still a bit of sanding and check sealing to do. But wanted to share because I love this redwood burl. Steel is Z-Wear.
