Last 2 knives finished and gone. A few blanks I'm about to work on and a 9.5" slicer in the works for my brother. Thanks for looking. Also never used 52100 until now and tickle me impressed. A nice polished edge and a strop and this stuff splits hairs quite easily, great steel!

Working on this big bowie. Grinding a 13.5x 2.75 bevel is not joke. Even in 52100. I've gained alot of respect for you guys that regularly make massive bowies with such impressive finishes.

Finished these up today. They're going to the Wisconsin Wildlife Federation banquet next weekend to either be door prizes or raffle prizes. Both AEB-L, both 400 grit cork belt finish. The boning knife is surface ground on the flats and has stabilized figured black walnut scales, orange G10 liners and redheart pins. The hunting knife has stabilized figured redwood and blue G10 liners with brass corbys.

Those are beautiful knives. The profiles are really functional and just the right proportions. Well done. LL

Very nice! Love the crisp bevels and simple design... Simple yet reflect definite craftsmanship.

First post in this epic thread -- really my first post where i didn't ask innumerable "how to" questions.

First knife successfully sharpened enough for the obligatory arm hair cut. Going to a friend who's working on a knife vise for me. My instagram has a brutal pictorial of this knife's history if you're into that sorta thing.

I am doing that same design (without the serrations). The customer's dad has a schrade/ loveless PH-2 and he wants something similar. The handle contouring has been giving me fits.

Hi Kevin,
please if you can, put here some pictures, I'm interested to see what way you have used, what differences are generated.

I don't have any of the current finished knife. On my first attempt, I went to thin with the scales trying to get those double ridges right. I am having a devil of a time figuring that one out. I have the new blank roughed out. I will be attempting again next week.
