I'm making a knife for a local chef and he asked for a pair of dough knives for a gift. Wasn't sure how to make them unique so I made some burl resin handles and etched the owners signature into the blade.

I really need to make one of these, I am making a sourdough bread almost once a week and these are essential. I am using a trowel now.
Off topic :)

I got this out of the drawer and finished it for Christmas time. Its the first knife for my mom. The blade is a mild steel San-Mai with blue steel as core and was forged in a class with Karlo Ban in Croatia almost one and half year ago, I didn't have a shop back then.
The handle is my first frame style construction with home brew spalted apple which was dyed with water dye and then stabilised with epoxy resin (it is rock solid and was a bream to grind and finish, shown with a fresh coat of Tru oil at 600g, I will finish with 1000g and hand polish it when it dries). Very hard to capture the true color and spalting lines in pic, but I am really happy how it turned out.
