I finished these two, and started the sheaths today. Unfortunately, my contact cement was hard as a rock. I’ll have to do them a Sunday instead.

the small one is 15n20, and the bigger one is z-wear with great ringed gidgee.

ive posted this set a few times, this is the last image before being packaged up.

It’s a pen turning blank material fromLee Valley. I think it’s similar to kirinite. It’s acrylic acetate.

My first z wear knife where I partially pre ground the bevels before heat treat. I’ve always ground post ht but that z wear beats you up. So far so good

And then hand sanding another z wear

Put together a knife for elk hunting this year.

PM A11. 66 Rockwell. This stuff is hard to finish! I’m going to look into using diamond stone or diamond sandpaper, something. Silicon carbide sandpaper work, but it didn’t last and didn’t do much to the steel. Edm stones actually worked faster, but they don’t leave a good finish. Tumbling looked good but did not take out any sanding marks.

I’m going to finally put this one together in the next little bit. V4E @ Rc64. The gidgee is gorgeous, I’ll do a gun blued steel or maybe a damascus guard. Frame handle construction on this one.

Just finished a "Gutting" knife.

Commercial versions usually have a curved blade, which is challenging to sharpen. So I designed a straight blade.
