Very cool! One like this is on my short list, I have been working on some custom Bowies for some customers lately. I think I have one more blade to grind before heat treat, I haven't decided it the last one will be an English style Bowie or and American style similar to the Musso Bowie. I have both patterns already, I think I'm leaning toward the Musso.

That looks great, what type of handle material is that?
Bummer man!!Well, F’d that one. The chaos in my house ate me up and I left it in the etch waaaayyyy too long. Best I can think of is to go back to 400 and try and flatten it out, then do 600 again and re-etch.
Hacksaw, takes a couple seconds. Sometimes simple is better!BTW , how you cut mosaic pins ?
Clean work! Your big wheel grinder? Yeah, hacksaw for me as well, also keep in mind that rough grit or cut can mush your pattern a bit in the pin, leave space to refine.Well , now it looks like a knife .The handle is almost shaped , I can glue it now . In the middle I will use mosaic pin and the other two stainless steel . I think it will look better that way than all three mosaic , what do you think ?
BTW , how you cut mosaic pins ? Cutting disk on Dremel would work or i will melt epoxy or whatever is inside pin ? I have no room for mistake , 15 cm length is all I have ..............
