This is my batch of steel I received last Monday. The two little ones in m4 are already beveled and done and on the way to Peter's and the two little worn cliffs in aebl are at a friend's getting heat treated as is and they are going to be ground hard and the big magna cut ones are my real projects. My wife likes to claim that I spend hours upon hours making knives but so far I've only got 3 hours into profiling these knives! (That includes finishing the two m4 ones)1652701913211.jpg

Copper on knife ? Never again ! It look cool but how long ?? I was searching in my boxes with knives to find which one to give to someone and I found this ............Sorry but i did not take picture how copper liners look before i sand them AGAIN ...............All that effort and they disappear from knife handle ? I mean they are almost invisible, especially on a wooden handle ? So what is trick ? To sand them from time to time or there are other way to protect copper from oxidation ?

Tested my furnace on some coupons
As quenched. No tempering
Freezer treatment
I used the MagnaCut spec sheet as a base. So four different temperatures at four different times
Liquid nitrogen doesn’t seem to be available outside of industrial sales. Working on locating dry ice now

Design the knife with patinated copper in mind as it will darken.

It occurred to me that I don't have anything representative of my recent work to carry at Blade🤔 Fortunately I had this blank Titanium Funny Folder laying around, I think I'm gonna fade the knots in opposite directions like the last SB😎

Bring pictures and show your videos (if you can). They would sell me.
(Mod - that is just a comment, not a “doing business” offer … the pictures he has posted, especially the sequences of workin progress, illustrate his work product very well…)
