You can re-use the screws in a knife!Almost done with this trio, final clean up, sharpening and sheaths all that's left. They will have to wait a little bit more since I had a surgery last week to remove a plate and some screws from leg.

I put a layer of this stuff on my fingers when I’m grinding something that I could easily slip and touch the belt, or when I’m grinding something I could easily burn my fingers with (you can still feel the heat coming through well enough to know when to cool the piece off). It’s great because it protects my fingers without inhibiting my ability to grind precisely.
I asked my doc to give the plate and the screws but he didn't let me, such a bummer, I had some plans for these.You can re-use the screws in a knife!
