Careful peining, followed by careful sanding. Nick Wheeler has a YouTube video on domed pins. I'll see if I can find it...

But what I was thinking is to round end of pins / 5-6- 8 mm / on knife with scales like on picture I posted .Glue scale with temporary pins , after curing remove pins , make one in right size and round and polish ends . How to round pins ? I mean really round them ?

Recall that for decorative pins, I have ground ball bearings into hemispheres...

I try to goggle that but found nothing ,except some fishing spinners Can you explain little more about this head spinners ? I have idea what would that be , but can t find anything on net ?

The cold rust bluing worked pretty well but I imagine would work better on a simpler alloy..it’s much streakier in hand the photos even out the tone
