What's happened to Tim Galyean?

No, not quite. As it stands right now, he's out two knives, whereas the other way around, he'd at least have your original knife in place of the replacement he sent you.

At any rate, I see a lot of folks in this thread that are quick to crucify the man without having any idea why he's not responded. They seem to assume he's doing this intentionally, without knowing if he's laid up in a hospital somewhere on life support or something like that. Maybe he's physically unable to respond at this time. I don't know the guy, or really anything about him, but I can't see him just letting this issue go like this free-willing. I'm of the mindset and mentality that there must be a good explanation that Jill has not heard anything from him, and until proven otherwise, I'll continue to feel this way. Some folks in this thread could stand to change their mentality a bit as well.

Maybe, we will find out something, someday. :confused: Time will tell as always.


Neil insisted on doing this for me and if I ever get my other knife back, I'll make it right with him. I even protested it and he still wanted to, he wouldn't even take his cost for the knife, which I offered.

No, it looks like TG should come here and explain why he can't answer anyone anymore about his business if he is able, or if he's not someone that knows something about why should. As I said time will tell as always.
 
I hope he doesn't pop back up acting like nothing happend and get all defensive because people are pissed off and then disappear back into the ether then come back up under a pseudonym

Like so many shameful makers do

I can't remember the name of the guy I read it somewhere in the GBU subforums about 7 or 8 months ago about a dealer on here that disappeared came back disappeared again got banned from the forums and then popped back up on eBay under a different name

And there were a few others but none to the extent of the first guy

Oh, so just one? Your 'Like so many shameful makers do' statement made it sound like this was not an uncommon occurrence.
 
Come on guys you want to argue about things that don't have anything to do with this thread, take it to PM. I have only presented facts here myself, that I was able to find out, I've made no statements other than that. All in an attempt to find out about my over 500 dollar investment, facts are what I'm looking for there, too. Not a big argument about other people.
 
I got an e-mail from Tim last week regarding a custom I have on the way.

Not to make any excuses, but rather to offer an explanation, here is an excerpt from his message:

" . . . I have had a rough go the last few weeks with the family getting the flu and my father had some health issues.

I also accepted a Job offer and I wont be attending the Tactical Invitational show."

I've known Tim for years and I'm confident that he will fix your knife and get it back to you.

That's good, Neil hasn't got him to answer him starting in September. (which was also his last post here on his forum)If he ever gets my knife done he can send it to Neil. If Neil wants it.

it sounds like she was posting what she knew. If she says Neil hasn't heard from him since September, then it's safe to say that Neil told her that he hasn't heard from Tim since September. As far as I know, Jill hasn't said "generalized" that Tim hasn't spoken to ANYONE in September.

She may have gotten a knife, but she still put in $40 or so in shipping. She deserves to at least get an explanation from Tim, and until she's been contacted by Tim, I don't think it's fair to tell her to move on.

Just because you heard from him, and someone ordering a several-thousand-dollar knife has heard from him, doesn't mean everything is peachy. As far as I'm concerned, Tim is unreachable, and that will definitely keep me from buying one of his knives until this is resolved. Hearing directly from Tim will give the community confidence in purchasing his knives.

Yes, Thomas W I know I have my knife now. Neil made sure of that.
I never found out from you now, why Tim wouldn't answer my emails, anyway. Like I'd asked you. I believe you had said you'd ask him.

OK, I should have said answering Neil as that was what I'd found out but couldn't say. (at the time) But, It doesn't matter Tim can come here and explain sooner or later. He can send my knife to Neil too, and it will all be over as far as I'm concerned.

This what I'm getting from this thread.If Tim is having personal matters(illness in the family,etc),as TW stated,I wish him & his family well.
Still,it wouldn't take but a moment to log in here & type a few words....just sayin'
