What's happening in the David Mary Custom shop?

That's one nice thing about Alaska you can carry whatever knife you have enough belt for. Ive been playing with a couple mega folders lately. Not sure why but they sure are fun.

The nice thing about this thread being 2100 posts... He'll have a knife for me before long.
My brother in Alabama is happy that he can own any knife that he wants, but still upset that he can't carry a Bowie knife concealed. That's the only restriction they have on the books.

What I mean is that I have a number of MagnaCut blanks in the shop right now that are not claimed for customers yet, including four and five inch blades. I'll send you those pics tomorrow... erm, later today in my time zone.
I understand, I just figured I'd leave it out there in case you need another project for your spare time 🤣 down the road.

We had a restriction on autos until a few years ago but I've never gotten looks walking in a store with a 7"+ fixed blade on my hip. Now the 27" magnacut chopper might turn heads.

Yeah, nobody bats an eye at open carry big fixed blades or guns here in Colorado. I don't know why knives are not covered by our concealed firearms permits though.

I carry a 9 1/2” custom chopper frequently when headed to/from/at my property and the only comments I have ever had when in a convenience store or ice cream shop was to ask who made it, or “that is a beautiful handle”. Never get stink eye. When I hit a moose on the highway, the state trooper looked at my 629 on my chest, and my chopper, nodded and said ‘nice’. Super interaction for a crappy situation. Amazing how knife laws are so different state to state (or city).

That wharncliffe prevail below the barax looks mighty interesting.

Thanks! I carry an AEB-L and Suretouch one every day. And I have exactly one MagnaCut blank version left unclaimed.

This is the largest MagnaCut blade in the world, to the best of my internet sleuthing abilities. Just over a 27" blade, with a 10" Suretouch handle. And yes it is spoken for.

Forgive me if I missed it but what was the blade thickness on this beast-slayer?

I was awaiting materials confirmation on a Prevail for a friend and he just got back to me so...

Orange Suretouch and blue sheath. No pin preferences mentioned so I have taken the liberty of using blue G10 to complete the ensemble.
