What's happening in the David Mary Custom shop?

Preliminary apex on the grinder at 220 grit, and final sharpening, honing and stropping will be done at home by hand as I do on all my knives except certain zero convex grinds. It cuts acceptably now but it will cut like silk when I'm done.

what is the pattern name for the top one with blue micarta handles?

One of my many one-offs without an official name.
