What's happening in the David Mary Custom shop?

Muscle memory; making me go faster,
Pump out blades and handles; I'm the knife blaster!
Ten thousand more to go, finally afford a mansion?
Still nowhere near the level of the masterful Scott Hanson.

Man I love those Prevails

Thank you! It is my personal favorite knife to EDC, and currently an AEB-L wharncliffe version rides on my hip each day. And I should mention those knives above are not quite finished. Tomorrow will be refining ergos, then hand sanding the handles, and if I get started early enough, making the sheaths, etching maker's mark, sharpening and bringing them home.

had to order a riverhawk #28. I'd post a picture but I didn't think to save it before Jason took it down. That man is quick. Needless to say it'll do me well until I have David make me my custom next year.

Yeah that's the one. Thank you for the picture, now that's customer service. That will make a most excellent work / EDC knife. The size should be perfect for a ~10:00 45°carry or ~9:30 horizontal carry.

It will happily replace my pm2 Crucarta that just does not work for me. And for that matter the white river small game I bought thinking it would do the same. Great knife but the pinky zone flaring and hook is all wrong for me. This hawk looks perfect and will accommodate my standard lanyard material.

That center blade came out beautiful but I don't regret my decision. I'm going to hold out and draw up my custom for you.im just glad you didn't do it in that blue 😁

Post 2201, from left to right, Wharnificent, Prevail, Prevail Wharncliffe, Prevail, Sumo-Jitsu (and all spoken for)

I have one Prevail blank left, and one Prevail Wharncliffe, and one Prevail XL, all in MagnaCut. I also have a few people emailing me inquiries about them, so who knows who's going to snag the last of each? I have a Prevail Wharncliffe blank in AEB-L left also.

I’ve been mulling over that or a prevail. Prevail is winning but those look awesome
The custom or the hawk? And a prevail?

It's easy to justify both because really you need to hands on sample the work before you have your custom made. I looked at all the pictures watched some of the videos (I may have muted something about a badger part way through.) I figure if I can get my hands on a sample then it will help me better communicate my wants for my custom. Hands on research is really just the smart play before dropping the cash on a full custom. It's not your fault that the research leaves you with a fine blade in your collection. 🤫

How thick is the aebl blank?

MagnaCut Prevail blank is off the table now.

Yeah, how did that go? Any pain today? I've never had a root canal. I did have all four wisdom teeth out twenty years ago though. That was a week and a half of some serious discomfort afterwards...
