What's happening in the David Mary Custom shop?

I'll give you details when I get home DocJekl DocJekl thank you for your interest!

What is Wharndiculous going to look like?
7" blade, 1/4" spine sharp for fuzz sticks and Ferro rods. Full flat grind in 3v, aeb-l, magnacut, or something of the like. Blue micarta scales. At least that's how I would order it 🙂

At least 5" fresh snow and still coming down. No power for going on 4 hours. Going to be a fun night. At least my face is starting to feel better.

Glad your face is feeling better, but dang this snow is irking me!

The shop toothpick looks handy. When I had my kydex knife sheath business I kept an eldris on my bench because it was so handy for dex work. That toothpick looks just as handy. Mount a magnetic to the wall so you always know where it is.

Those blades and scales look awesome!
Right. Picked up a roof rake the other day. Figure I might have to have one this year.
i used one today on my 12x24 shed. The base was packed and heavy. I am heading to my cabin Thursday to move snow and break trail. 12/12 metal roof out there so I just need a good fire in the stove to shed the snow. Only 4 1/2 more months!🤪

So I get to name it, and you get to design it? Nice!

Sounds cool and I'd like to take one home but I need the bottom knife made a little bigger first. It is by far my favorite fixed blade but I need a version of it that's 5-5.5" instead of 4". Top one is a 5.5 and it's very handy but it's not the same. I still need to draw it up but 5-5.5" I'd also like the blade to come a little lower to aid in kitchen tasks, maybe a 1/4". A little jimping for the thumb followed by 2ish" of sharp spine and dehorned the rest of the way to the tip. I'm a big fan of FFG but maybe a high saber (to accommodate a guided sharpener when needed) with 20° micro bevel (I've been using a sharpmaker primarily for the last 15 years.)the handle feels perfect but maybe round the tail off a bit more on the rear to allow the lanyard easier travel. I'm planning to start my end of the process in the next couple months for my 40th birthday. I have a little time left to put real thought into what I'm after. The rest will be up to David and if he still wants to deal with me. Then we can move on to my 7" Wharndiculous that I must admit sounds very cool.
