What's happening in the David Mary Custom shop?

Honduras Rosewood is not allowed to ship outside of the USA!!

David:
Just an fyi (in case you haven’t seen it), mesquite wood makes absolutely beautiful and durable handles. Not many folks outside of Texas seem to use it much. So many beautiful woods to choose from. Looking forward to photos of your finished pieces. Stay warm and safe.

Test 3? Both came through

Edit I won't lie. I got the notification and thought something cool had dropped on the bench at the workshop

Now that I know how strong it is I will definitely use the remainder of my defunct reblade project to make more of these.

And I wasn't happy with the blade shape or texture on the prototype so I have started to rework it.

I love mesquite.....so far I've only used fairly boring grained pieces, but still I've been very happy with it!!!

Osage is probably one of my favorites, not sure if your source has that, but you Should try it.... It's hard, stable, and can be pretty.

I saw mention of ebony earlier?
It too, grinds easy/smooth. It's awesome.

I've heard it micro cracks often, but so far I haven't seen that.

I'll have to keep those in mind next time I order wood scales
