What's happening in the David Mary Custom shop?

Lots of Walnut here. I love using walnut for my rehandle jobs. It's easy to work and holds up pretty well.

I don't actually run into Osage orange very often (as far as needing to cut it). Mostly on old farmsteads, where it was once used and maintained as hedges to contain animals. It's not indigenous to Western New York, but it's around.
 
Looking good. I haven't been much of a wood guy in a long time but that looks good.

I also like that jimping pattern a lot. I've usually got gloves on at work and that looks just the right amount of grippy.
 
One of your "hidden talents" is having a good eye for what looks good on handles
