What's happening in the David Mary Custom shop?

And after grinding the ulu I used up a warped piece of heat treated hand saw I've been hoarding for three years. Now it's a super thin EDChef wharncliffe that causes instant cardboard mitosis. So light it could be a neck knife.

There was a loose contact inside the housing of my Kydex griddle's dial housing. I went to disassemble it to see if I could fix it only to find the manufacturer trying to keep me out by using a triangle screw.

So I says to them, I says: "you know I'm just going to make a triangle screwdriver from steel pin material and duct tape right?"

So thats what they’re for! I recently got this sweet little driver and bit kit for my knives and had a couple triangle bits that I’ve been wondering what I’d ever use them for. Now I know lol. Good job on the ingenuity.

Five hours of organizing handle material again, in preparation to make a bunch of composite scales. I'll show those when I have a bunch squared off and tidied up. And they will be open to anyone to claim, who has an order on the books, assuming they will fit your knife.

Here's everything before I put it away again. You can't really see all of it clearly, but you get the idea.

That burlap micarta is my favorite handle material. I like the red in front. I may have missed the whole experience by actually getting sleep last night but I'm glad it found a good home.
