What's happening in the David Mary Custom shop?

Boy your grinds are looking good David, have to ask in a pinch what is the final edge angle, will it cut?
One of the things I like about his edges are the convex edge without a wide bevel that are still quite sharp - that mades the edge very strong.

I'm not sure I could measure an angle on the edges, because they're a little more like the zero-edge convex bevel that Rockstead likes to use than what you'd get with a water stone or KME.

To give a more comprehensive answer: The dagger is designed around the principle of "acute point and robust cross section", which was my contribution to the thread where I got the idea for the run. The thread was discussing what kind of knife has good piercing ability and strength. The edges are indeed zero ground convex as DocJekl said, but the blade is double edged, narrow, and a quarter inch thick. The edges are sharp, but the geometry is sub par for cutting, and this is by design. A knife like this has edges, not to make it a good cutter, per se, but to assist its penetration in a stab, whether you're stabbing a piece of cardboard, or hood of a car (which is ridiculous). It is shaped for piercing.

I finally bit the bullet and signed up for Vimeo Plus. Some of you may recall I deleted all my content from my YouTube channel when they basically gave themselves the right to put ads on your videos whether you want them to or not. Meaning that I would have no control over whether something immoral was being plugged alongside my video. Anyway, I now have up to 5 GB of upload capacity per week, instead of only 5 GB total (which I had nearly used up)

So now I can make videos for you guys.
