What's happening in the David Mary Custom shop?

Robert and his wife came to look at the apartment today, and when he saw my knives we got talking and it turns out he collects. He bought the Marten Scout prototype from me and I asked if he would mind me introducing him to you guys. He was all for it. Here he is with his new knife:

He and his wife were a pure joy to meet and talk to. The only thing that would make what I do more rewarding than it is already is if I could meet each and every one of you in person and shake your hands.

The new landlord?
Nevermind, the tag showed up out of order in my notifications. I've got a ways to go for that. I'm only on year 7 of self employment.

Another late one. But I thought I wouldn’t come in because of showing the apartment so all is well.

Remi is coming tomorrow to fix my back up etching machine. He asked nothing in return. He’s getting a knife anyway. Red is his favourite color so we’ll see if he wants this Bitty Bitey Baby Birdie. I love this design. I have a couple other red ones for him to choose from at home.

And the trailing point is a thank you gift for Craig who gave me my new phone, but don’t tell him.

If any part of it, I dread this part the most. Brought them all the way home and now get to see them under home lighting which sometimes shows me more work to be done. Let’s find out.

Also:

Sometimes things don’t work out on the first try.

Before you ask: the sheath was causing a massive scratch on the non show side. A big fingernail catching scratch that jumped out and screamed here I am. Yes, I did all my steps before finishing the sheath and it happened anyway. Very frustrating. But the work must continue.

And yes that was another failed sheath attempt with the same material for a different knife you saw in the pail as well. Also before you ask, yes I could reheat it and start over. No I won’t. The guys deserve a fresh piece of material.
