What's happening in the David Mary Custom shop?

She’s owned it for nearly a year. I repaired it for her. I feel like it’s on me for not having explained what not to use as a cutting board.

Looks like you aced your heat treat score.

We played mini golf about a month ago for the first time in a long time. It was a lot of fun. I did... Not so well 🤗

I didn't actually pay attention to my score so much. I told my brother, who was keeping score, that he might as well put a five down for me on each hole. That was the highest score we agreed anyone could get, since we would not sit there for half an hour for any of us if we should just keep missing. With seven of us we did not want to create a bottle neck for others. I declared I would not be taking the game seriously at all. Made sure to announce it for everyone to hear, since I would then proceed to pick up my ball several times over the afternoon, and move it around the "green" before taking my shot, as well as sometimes taking a shot again even after I had sunk my ball. Yet somehow I managed to get a hole in one and a handful of holes in two. Of course, then two others from our group got holes in one on the same hole, and I noticed that it seemed to almost funnel towards the hole, making it kind of easy .... so no skill here, I assure you, at least not from me.

But yes, a lot of fun... in the right company. ❤️🧡💚💙💗💜🤍

Thank you! I made it for him earlier this year and it gets used in a busy hockey equipment/bike sales and repair shop. I suspect one of his employees may have overestimated the toughness of AEBL ground to near zero. Thankfully I was able to save it.

This is going to be my first take on a Sharpfinger, requested by a member. It is .156” 8670. Will have a textured Bocote handle and a lightening slot. Looking forward to getting to this one in a couple weeks hopefully.

Great work today, and glad to see that pinky is healing nicely.

Your scale work is impressive. Mine are never that symmetrical.

Before I started I noticed sharp scale edges on the black one and found the handle not comfortable at all. I offered to fix that and my offer was accepted. I can’t stand sharp edges on scales.
