What's happening in the David Mary Custom shop?

I got a bit less done in the shop than originally intended, but still decent progress on the next new knife, a MagnaCut Midirang, one of the extras I had cut for Empire Outfitters just in case a mishap might have occurred. Thankfully it didn’t and so this knife now has a home all lined up.

I got only as far as grinding and satin finishing the blade and getting the customer provided Gcarta scales cut and glued to some yellow liners. Next shop session should hopefully see this one finished up.

Now I must eat for I am famished after post shop unplanned jam session with a guitarist friend a couple hundred or so km away.

And a hint at what I’m working on while the glue cures:

In the workshop, blades were born,
A knife, reborn, with a grind transformed.
Thicker, tougher, variant design,
For the DocJekl, a blade so fine.

Bitty Bitey’s sturdy kin,
With a different edge, let the cuts begin.
In Dr. Jekyll's hands, it finds its grace,
A cutting tool for a different place.

Just following orders!

Speaking of… I tried to get him to cancel this order because I wasn’t sure I could pull it off. And then he managed to convince me to try something I was even less sure I could pull off! 🤣

I’m glad he did though.
