What's happening in the David Mary Custom shop?

This is my first design of the Always handle I had David make.
*This edge is the opposite of the wood handle. This knife has the Curved part sharp.

Reverse grip/Pikal

Ice pick grip

Showing hold in this position

As you can see from both David's (from above) and my pics This blade shape and handle offer Many positions of use....... Always. ;)
Yeah - this one came up in a photo by chance and indeed caught my eye. Looks like cool work from here, too.

While packaging today, I let myself get a little careless with the necker......

This was a miss while trying to cut the shipping label barcode from the record keeping portion. I thought I was alongside the ruler, but I was ON the ruler and rode it right up onto my finger.

I cried out "Mother!" which was a new one for me. I usually don't utter anything in surprise. And then after looking at it, I said, "well, that's a stitcher...."

AS IF I'm going to a hospital nowadays.

So I cut it the rest of the way off, and disinfected.

"Are you okay?" "Yes, don't worry, buddy, it'll grow back. You're such a thoughtful kitty."

Then packaged it up along with the the mail.

Now I have to wait for the mailman, and once he's come and grabbed it all, it's off to the grocery store for some blood clotting agent (i.e. powdered cayenne pepper), then back home to apply a "proper" bandage, as at the moment any vigorous movement, let alone any pressure at all, sends blood spilling out of the wrapping.

Cayenne pepper is the best
You may try Ghost or Carolina Reaper too
Positively recommended

Okay so maybe 20 minutes of that, and I peeled off the ... crust? ... that it formed, and well it's not gushing. Also, the pharmacist at the grocery store suggested a "finger cot", which I am now wearing, and have 23 more in reserve. This has allowed me to get back to my regular two handed typing without spraying blood everywhere. Typing feel funny with my right hand though. And right handed mousing too. It's still leaking a bit inside the cot, but not getting out. Let's see how working in the shop feels... after I go pay my cellphone bill which is due tomorrow... oh yeah and put those daggers up on the maker's market.

Zulus Zulus when I first put the cayenne on, the first thing I noticed was it freaking KILLED! And for a good couple minutes too. It got numb after a short time though. But your salsa would probably put me into shock.
