What's happening in the David Mary Custom shop?

Thank you. It's throbbing under a blanket of spicy goodness. Sleeping tonight will be... strategic I think.

Check this out. So the last few nights I had been recording my resting heart rate at around 55 bpm. And then yesterday's ... mishap ... occurred and I already knew about packing cayenne powder into a wound, but last night I did more reading on it, and found that drinking a teaspoon of it in warm water actually is supposed to balance out blood pressure, also facilitating the stoppage of bleeding. So I thought okay I'll have some now, since it's leaking inside the finger cot. And then as I continued reading testimonials, the claims were more and more surprising all the way from alleviation of chronically itchy and red or dry skin, to emergency salvation from a heart attack! So I thought, hmmm, I wonder what my RHR will be after drinking that cayenne tea.... I measured last night and again this morning. My RHR is 49 bpm!! Crazy!

Needless to say I'm about to have another glass. Oh and one testimonial said that he gave up coffee in favor of a teaspoon of cayenne in hot water per day, saying it gives him the same alertness and energy without the jitteriness of coffee. Interesting.

I take Crazy Hot pepper pills, for just that...a natural way to help with BP.

as a side effect, it helps do Other Things....ahah :P

Hi David,
How's that paw feeling?
Someone mentioned trying Carolina Reaper peppers on it...
Be VERY careful! Those little flamethrowers are way hotter than anything else!
I've eaten lots of hot peppers over the years, and they hit harder than any other pepper.
They also are about as subtle at a punch in the mouth!
Habbies, Ghosts, and even Scorpions have a nice, sweet flavor, and then the heat creeps up on you...
Reapers just come at you with fire Alarms blazing!
By the way: are those AEB-L Prevails coming up soon?

Hey Bob ,thanks for asking. It's still healing. I'm just trying to not disturb it, but let it breathe. Hasn't bled since Monday though, which is good. Going to stick with cayenne, as it is working. Once I know the status of blades out for heat treatment, I will update here as well. Kind of you to think of me Bob, I appreciate you!

Would the tsp of cayenne in hot water cause stomach irritation or reflux? Not that the caffeine wouldn’t either, but just curious.

Cayenne isn't all that hot... If you like spicy food: you adjust to it quickly.
But if you're just shoving your finger into it: no worries at all!
(But a great waste of taste!)

It was ... uncomfortable at first. But subsequent cups have been more and more tolerable. Also, turns out I was using a tablespoon haha

I took a glass last night and shot a fire ball across the kitchen... But surprisingly no heartburn. That could be because I stopped drinking five weeks ago today. Another 1/2 tsp is in my coffee this morning.

So I actually took it instead of coffee all yesterday and Tuesday. Today it's coffee and cayenne, inspired by you. By the way it was very kind of you to text and ask about my finger the other day.

It was a different experience for sure, not altogether unpleasant.

Gotta make sure you're on the mend. Can't have you losing digits.
