What's happening in the David Mary Custom shop?

This one’s ready for a makers mark. It’s getting a @Sharp & Fiery sheath, which is very exciting.

Yay!!! The "Canadian Connection" HBK is finally nearing completion.
Some really cool looking natural micartas out in the world these days. I don't know if it's all "vintage", but I see that word associated quite a bit with this stuff.
That is vintage Westinghouse crosscut from our very own... Fixall Fixall

Natural micarta is my favorite flavor of phenolic material. It darkens, takes on shades and tones as it ages - a kind of patina which I think is cool. I've been his site and almost bought some just for the sake of it's unique look...cross cut seems even more unique in appearance.

a thought popped into my head.....which is a rare event....... while cutting with my modded resilience ya made for me........

why not put the serrations on the right side for right hand cutting...similar to how much better a chisel grind is done right side for right hand use? ya tried it before, no improvement in cutting performance?

I'm a little disappointed. Ordered a knife but got a gen 1 light saber instead:

It wouldn't even let me focus on the atomic layer of M4 edge...

Jokes aside, this is clearly a man who knows his stuff. I cannot wait to see what all I can get into trouble with this thing.
Looks sharp enough to remove fingerprints! 😮

I made that a year and a half ago. It is right side serrated and chisel ground.

my modded resilience

Started its life as a factory combo edge. The combo edges were nearly 40% off at my retailer of choice, which is why I was able to do these for a decent price. Spyderco put those serrations of the left hand side. I could have ground them off completely, and made new ones on the right hand side, ending up with the look of your grandpappy's over sharpened knife that's way too skinny for the size of the handle and length of blade. But I chose to incorporate the existing serrations into the full serrated conversion to preserve as much original blade as possible, while still being able to remove material from the profile on the spine to give it the sharper point.
