What's happening in the David Mary Custom shop?

I can now say the top one is mine! It arrived today ahead of schedule. It is perfect

Thank you for the kind words!

I also have to admit that I’m a little sad I didn’t grab the other two! 😜

You may still have a chance. They will be available at Empire Outfitters.

Slightly too big, so Glock 19 FTW (or a Glock 43X, a Sig P365, or S&W Shield Plus)...
Late to the party since I've been absent for the last couple of weeks but the G19 with the grip chopped for G26+2 mags is a fantastic way to go. Slide cut for an optic with suppressor height backup sights.

if ya can carry a glock 19, then 17 isn't much bigger being carried. certainly not on David's build. I know as I own both and have carried both. both are good guns but I prefer the 17.

i dislike small pistols unless carried in a pocket. sig 365 is too big, thick for comfortable pocket carry in jeans. good gun though. I own one. I don't care for the 43 size or do not like the junk moden s&w pistols. older stuff was great. if I'm gonna carry a gun in a holster I'd rather have full size on me. I don't find smaller pistols anymore comfortable to carry other than less weight.

when I carried full sized I rotated a lot but ended up with a 1911. slim and easy to carry other than weight of it and extra mags on the belt. used to carry a colt mustang in my left pocket as I'm a southpaw shooter. retired it to the safe for a sig p238. once they discontinued it....i retired it to this kimber in 9mm. fits my jean pocket perfect without massive printing and plenty of firepower. I'm not a kimber fan, but this gun is good and it replicates the sig p938 they discontinued.

I understand, but I pocket carry 95% of the time, in a pocket holster, as IWB is not comfortable unless I loose 20 lbs. I wear stretchier pants from Duluth Trading, like the Foreman Flex or Cargo Firehose Flex Pants (or their shorts versions); and I can pocket carry my G19 in the front pocket with a Remora holster, almost as well as the P365/X/XL or my Shield Plus which are of course easier. I cannot pocket carry a G17, ever.

If I wear my only pair of jeans, I can easily pocket carry my Kahr PM9 or my S&W 637 and 340PD. But I have not worn jeans since I bought my P365 almost 6 years ago 😂 so I don't know if the P365 would work for me in jeans. Prior to the P365, I carried my OG Kahr PM9 with 6+1 and two spare 7-round mags 80% of the time, or my S&W 637 (which came long before my 340PD which I got around the time of my P365).

Back in the early 2000's, before the S&W 637, I split my carry time evenly between the Kahr PM9 and a Kimber Compact CDP 4" in .45 ACP. I have saved my Milt Sparks leather holster for the .45 just in case I decided to dip back into those waters someday. But I think I sold all my 1911's in the late 2000's, and just settled on the PM9 and my new 637 just for ease of carry, and for ease of training my family (some who got confused with using cocked and locked guns in training drills).

My house gun has been a G19 for almost 3 decades - I even regularly carried the G19 in a fanny pack or SOB, before I got the PM9 in the very early 2000's when they first came out. I sold my G26 in 1997 or 1998 and never looked back, as the G19 concealed almost as well but was much easier to control.

There was another caliber too. He said "ought" in it, even though he just called the zero in .308 "Oh". Wish I could remember. I seem to recall the something "ought" something caliber was supposed to be more powerful than the .308. If that rings any bells?
