What's happening in the David Mary Custom shop?

Despite some setbacks in the shop and out, I’m pleased to finally be in the home stretch on these.

For me, the definition of home stretch is when all that’s left to do before taking the knives home is to hang together the sheaths and add the makers mark.

Just spent the whole morning wrestling with FedEx website trying to create my first ever shipment with them. Was getting super stressed about it, called customer service and went through two agents who couldn't help me, and was told to call tech support instead, and that they would be available at such and such a number at 7:30 - FALSE! I called twice at 7:30 and 7:32 only to get "Our offices are closed". Lost a blitz chess game to calm my nerves (yeah right) and decided I had to try customer service again... But they got me to tech support this time and Kadar from Nevada simplified the whole thing to the point where it's almost face palmingly easy. I wonder if Canada Post has lost my business for good. Time will tell.
 
Don't know if Canada Post does the same as USPS but several delivery companies do "final delivery" via USPS and I HATE IT. I would pay more to avoid the USPS. Just an FYI if Canada Post does similar.

Glad Fed-Ex figured themselves out. I used them a lot when I was in the military and they worked better than our own dedicated shipping department.
 
This gentleman has been patiently awaiting me to start his ROFR order. This is my first order for him as dealer who will make these available to outdoorsmen local to him, though he already personally owns a few pieces I’ve made for him. Feeling blessed.

Note a Flip Point and Tanto of Opportunity. The very last two I have in stock. Actually m almost out of everything, except Fried Liver Attacks. Meaning no more than two or three of most designs.

So I made a huge mess on the bench today. First I brought everything up to a medium satin finish, and then the messy part, deciding what scales to put on these. I’ve decided for 11 of them but the flip point is a potential custom which I still don’t have the details for and the Tanto is for me to decide as well but I’m suffering decision making fatigue. As evidenced by the fact I can’t even decide what to put on the last little Fried Liver Attack.
