That’s a tapered tang 3V Prevex. It gets Bocote with a groove.

That’s a couple of Fried Liver Attacks. Black canvas micarta and the other is Hudson Bay blanket Gcarta with black liners.

Short shop session today to build scales for two customs that are part of the current batch.

The first pair of scales is stabilized birdseye maple with stabilized black palm, and neon green G10 liners and spacers with dark green Grip-Tec™ inlays by @RockSolid Scales. The cut-off is left over from knives I made a few months ago, which you can see here:

I have placed one order with Matt Kriebs from rocksolidscales.com so far, or I guess technically, two orders that got merged into one.

His communication is top notch. He's prompt, courteous, and considerate.

But the material he created, Grip-Tec, is outstanding. For the past few years, until now, I have been saying over and over that Suretouch is my favorite material, often including this spoiler in such posts:

The second is a special Micarta by @Fixall with orange G10 liners and spacers, and an inlay composed of Ameragrip and orange Grip-Tec™.

Bought a Cold Steel Axe Gang hatchet for myself and one for Chris. Modding definitely required.

Sand the hande and make it actually comfortable, remove Chinese characters that could mean who knows what, chamfer all the sharp corners on the head so choking up is comfortable, and soon I’ll repaint the whole thing. And of course sharpen since the edge was dull. First one is for Chris. I’ll get around to mine eventually.
