What's in a name?

As I noted in the name thread, mine is just a complicated set of initials:

richard bard mcmullen, jr.

I had it on a license plate at one point in time....

Boy, I've come so close so many times to changing my user name here.... "malextwo" is NOT male(times)two, but denotes a second yahoo addy of m(ike)alex(ander)'s, (my full name). So many women, when I was still dating, would see that moniker and really give me a hard time about it. Enough said....

Mike

I picked SteelSnob jokingly. I like all kinds of steels from low to high end but my favorite is cpm154 or it's European twin brother rwl34. It seemed like a funny knife related name so I used it.

My name is John, my three year old niece (at the time) called me Uncle Johnner...That mutated as a Nickname to Uncle Jenner...To round it out 5/15 is my birthday.

Hmm, CL01 is short for cockedlocked01, which I use in firearm forums & my email addy for the Forums. 01 was added because someone apparently had the moniker W/O it.

My name is Eric. airyq is just a made up alternative spelling that I use in forums.

congrats elliot you have birthed a groundswell of comradry in our already close nucleus of blade affectnaidos. p[lease excuse the spelling. thanks for such a creative stimilus.

Not having a lot of creativity, I came up with mine during a time when I was collecting old Winchesters and Colts. I was also still rifle hunting, and my Two favorite cartridges are the 338 win. mag and the 375 H&H.
Thus the name 338375 was born. I too had thought many times about changing it, but decided it has worked this long, it will be fine for future use too

I came back from the bathroom at a party in 1987, to hear my mate saying

"You can't drink that, it's Nursie's drink!"

Nothing odd there, except that his wife is a nurse, and the party was full of nurses, including my wife and all her friends ( about 25 - 30 in total)
I was the only Male Nursie!!

Still tickles me when people comment "Oh so your a MALE nurse!"
Given that I am 5' 10 and 200 pounds -I should hope so

Take care
Graham

PS Meet the Parents was a biopic - someone has been spying on my life - honestly!!

Navihawk comes from a watch forum I frequented years ago, and partially because I was a firefighter in the Navy. Navihawk is the name of a flight Chronograph from Citizen. I like the watch because it is a mix of traditional analog and quartz digital.

Not very creative I'll admit but there it is.

I have been coon hunting and training hounds since I was seven years old.

Coonskinner seemed appropriate.

The picture below contains a hound and a boy, and I raised both of them. :)

Taken early this spring.

That's a great image and you're rightfully proud!

I have a bit of a motorcycle problem as well as the knife/gun/outdoor bug, so mine comes from my grail bike: the Indian Four

My real name is Chester Burger...
In reality, the same day I signed up for bladeforums I ate a cheeseburger for lunch. I moment on the lips, a lifetime as my username. Oh well. It's one of those things that I should have thought about for longer than 2 seconds.

I had never posted on a forum, and just came here to read. I just put my age at the time after the first part of my name.
If I had known I would be posting I may have put some thought into it.

Hi FLYmon -

mqqn? That is my last name with q's instead of o's, as my last name is Moon. It is supposed to be a reference to the old Moon Racing logos from drag racing in the past.
