whats missing?

That’s too much. Lots of better options in the $400-ish range IMO.

The guys in Calgary and Vancouver have the standard dymondwood or G10 for just over $260CAD which isn’t bad IMO. I don’t mind S30V, so I will likely be picking one up soon. Plus the dymondwood with the orange looks cool to me.
If I handled one and a just loved it, I may be willing to spend the $. To go in blind and figure out it’s not for me, would end up costing me $100+.
Pay $375cad, maybe get $250cad on the exchange.
Although a heavy patina on a d2 blade and all black with orange or blue accents would look pretty good.

Add a set of Boomer52 scales to set it off.

It’s a beauty but too close to what I already have.
Lol
Plus theme of this thread, boomer doesn’t ship to Canada.
I have some lil para mod scales, but I had to get a friend to ship em north.
And like I said, I go to that well a lot.

lots of nice choices on those lionsteel. The micarta sheepsfoot and the wood roundnose were right there with this one.
prob would have liked a wood clip jack best, but i don't think that was an option. Love the g10 too.

so with the eventual rex45 milli, my spyderpac is full plus one for the jeans. The maserin is probably just keeping a spot warm for a mini crooked river, a 3" xm18 slicer, or ???, but you never know.

thanks for all the help folks.

so,
just ordered a lion steel shuffler and a maserin cutlery plow sodbuster in d2/micarta.

I ordered the sodbuster blind. i don't know anything about these guys. zero. but at $35 and zero hassle w customs, i figured why not.
