What's on your key ring?

mini prybars . . . did you buy them somewhere?

Here is one from countycomm.com that costs $5 plus shipping.

If you have more money than brains (like me), you can spend big bucks on an Atwood pry thing, which come in various flavors and are somewhat difficult to find:

Not meaning to be facetious, but just WHAT do you do with them?!?

I've been looking at them, and looking at them, saw a YouTube video about wrapping one with braided paracord, and other than lifting poptop rings and not breaking my fingernails I can't think of anything I'd do with them! What are they for other than the obvious nail remover? :(

Haha, no prob :) I work around old lab machinery, sometimes doors or things get stuck or are rusted and I sure as hell don't want to use my knife to pry at them. Sometimes I break the pop up handles on chemical cans, the prybar would be useful to get the spout up and out without going to the toolbox to get a screwdriver. Usually all you need is just a little leverage, and those keychain prybars look perfect for the job. You could also scrape stuff with it rather than your knife. A lot of times I have to unscrew or screw stuff, and this would handle bigger screws on bigger machinery quite nicely (got sak for delicate stuff) without having (again) to go get a screwdriver. I'm sure other people have better uses. I always hear of people messing up they're knives or breaking tips prying at stuff or screwing/unscrewing for any reason, this would solve that problem for me. :)

check out this small list on the atwood site (thanks powernoodle!):

Carabiner with about 3 feet of paracord, keys, cheap LED light, and 2 screwdriver keys (phillips & flat). I want to switch the LED with a fenix E01 and I also want to add a spy capsule.

Only thing I have on my ring besides keys is a bottle opener. Having a cold beer is one of the things that really helps calm you down in a survival situation. You just have to keep a level head.

I have heard that too much weight is hard on your car and can cause parts in the ignition to fail early, that being said...

keys, an extra split ring, a swisskey, and a photon light.
Maybe, maybe not. On my key ring I have a short lanyard made of 5mm accessory cord and my EDC stuff resides on the other end of the lanyard. It's probably 6" long and are cobra knots. I forget how much cord it is, but it's more than you would think. I put my key in the ignition and throw the extra stuff on the dash on top of the column (basically near the speedo). I know it probably wouldn't work with every vehicle, but it works on the ones I drive. Maybe it would work for you two.

I like the two keychain idea, and various versions of small pouches, but I found that I left it at home more often.
