What's special about the Hi-Jinx

Well, there weren't many made to begin with, and a large portion of those undoubtedly ended up in safes instead of pockets. Mine is in my rotation, along with a bunch of others. :)

Looks like there were plenty made because they are still readily available.

Or, not That many actually sold...

Well that too. What I meant was it appears they made plenty to satisfy the demand considering they are readily available. You can make 10 knives and if you only sell 5, you still made plenty of knives.

And, for awhile, knives like this one that are a step up in quality and cost will not sell as well as they should because some people aren't willing to give CRKT a try. Tough sledding for awhile, but I hope they stay the course because I have been very pleased with both of their upper end knives (Hi-Jinx & Buy Tighe) and their lesser designer collaborations.

True.

I have two Hi Jinx and carry one on occasions. Still flips great, is comfortable and not a bad slicer. In an emergency I hope it's on me. It's a tank that looks good. It's heavy for most people for a 3.3" blade folder.

It's a tough sell to pay $300-$400 for the CRKT label. A few places still have them in stock.

The sticky lock issue didn't help as well as some lock issues some experienced.

I really like mine.

I may have to take a page from SaintlyBrees and get a Buy Tighe. They can be had now for under $500. I think the 500 in that batch will be around for a long time.

That is nice to hear. The shirts at CRKT might like to recieve some feed back from you and others that purchased the knife.

When I first saw pictures, I did not like the knife at all. I guess it is the grips, because I love the blade shape. How is it to carry?

It's actually very nice to carry. It doesn't grab my pants pockets the way my SMF does, so it's a bit easier to get out and use. The deployment is as slick as any other knife I own. Really nice, actually. I cannot say enough about the grind on the blade! It is amazing and awesome! I paid full retail for it, I think ($400) and I bought it in lieu of an SnG. It fits that niche quite nicely.

I am glad I did not purchase this knife.I ended up with a Sebenza 25 instead.I pay zero attention to any magazine awards.I truly hope you all enjoy your CRKT ..Sorry I mean Lionsteel Hi-Jinx..
