What's that you're eating?

Just cooked up a can of horse meat, in some curry. The horse meat was whale flavored.

Galbi and salad (because there wasn't any steamed rice available mid-day) w/some Lagunitas IPA at a dive bar/restaurant located in the middle of nowhere in the "delta" off of Hwy 4 between Stockton and Discovery Bay.

It's owned by Korean grandmother named "Yong" who serves Korean dishes both on & off the menu. If you don't see what you want on the menu, ask and she can probably serve it. She has a couple very cute "happa" grandchildren that I've seen before. I've got a couple of happa GCs too. ;)

She also provided me w/some home made "go chu chung" sauce (used w/bi bim bap) on request. Went to get it from the frig in her residence on site. LOL! :)

Stopped here while doing a loop trying to find some 93 Octane gas for my Vette and BMW. 2 sites located on a "Find 93 Octane" gas map were a bust. Lots of heavy truck traffic on the route but still had a nice drive. :)

This takes me to a good place, lost my mom a few years back (she was from Korea) and I grew up eating korean food like it was the norm here in Ohio

I'm still searching for food that tastes like hers!

Hard to find good Japchae and bulgogi!!!!
