Decided to take a drive in the Vette w/the top down into the Central Valley and do a PR tour of the almond groves east of Modesto in the foothills of the Sierras. All the blossoms had already dropped off of the almond trees but it was still a beautiful drive.

Here's the route if you're interested: Modesto Almond Blossom Cruise. The 50's Roadhouse at Knight's Ferry and Louie's Place in La Grange are popular biker spots and the bikes were out in force to enjoy the sunny weather. I don't ride any more but it brought back fond memories. :)

Stopped at various places along the way, including Robert's Ferry, where I had an Almond Nut Butter Milkshake that's essentially vanilla ice cream mixed w/crunchy almond nut butter and topped w/whipped cream. It's made so thick you can turn the cup upside down w/o anything falling out.

Didn't do that for a photo w/this one because of the whipped cream on top. ;)

Ended the "tour" in downtown Modesto and found a place called the "Food Fix" which serves craft beer on draft and some excellent sandwiches and other offerings. I ordered a Slaw Dawg w/a pint of Modesto Hopster (8.6% IPA) brewed by Clamstake Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA (near Sacramento).

Everything was DELICIOUS and VERY 'Merican! LOL! 🤣
