  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

What's that you're eating?

Local Peruvian restaurant. Homemade ice cream for dessert.

Passionfruit, cherimoya and lucuma.

Until you get hurt. Then you have nothing.

Eggs benedict for brunch today at my favorite eating spot in Lodi. Yes, there actually is a "fine dining" spot in Lodi.

And, no, I wasn't "stuck" there. LOL!

Traveling home from Disneyland with the family about eight years ago. My Dodge broke down and I had to spend a couple days in Lodi getting it fixed. We didn’t known about the song until we told friends Our story.

Giant beef ribs !

Smoked on the PitBoss for 8 hours then wrapped and finished in the oven for another 4. I’ve cooked them probably 5-6 times and I think I’m getting them dialed in.
Also looks great and also making me damn hungry. 😋 I have to stop viewing this thread late in the afternoon after I skipped lunch. 😞

Sorry but it looks a little "over" (at least to my taste) but I'm sure it was good. :)

Reminds me that I need to buy a beef plate to do the same soon. It's just so d*mn expensive.

There's a "Texas" BBQ place near me that sells beef ribs@ Saturday. It's even more expensive than buying them raw but least you don't have to tend the smoker for hours.

But I've gotta put my vertical Big Boss smoker to use. ;)

sgt1372 sgt1372 They are be a bit over, I think I should have basted them a couple more times also. Getting them dialed in, not quite there yet but close.
This cow was a bit smaller than we typically get slaughtered so they didn’t have the same amount of meat and fat your average heavy beef will.
