Just finished painting the house this week. Couldn’t have asked for better weather. Sprinkling rain and 60F now. Staying in this weekend. Cast iron ribeye for lunch today with a cheesy spinach potato bake. Carrot cake and coffee to finish.

Haven't been eating out or cooking anything interesting recently but finally went out yesterday & had this bowl of Bun Bo Hue in Elk Grove, CA:

Not the best version I've ever had -- too much chill oil, no real beef shanks, noodles broken up & some mystery meat meatball in it . . .
but there were some blood cubes in it & I was hungry & ate all of it.

Accidental "omelette" this morning for breakfast. Was supposed to be a quick scramble but I got distracted by my dogs. Just for a moment but by then is was already mostly done so I hastily and clumsily folded it up with some cheese.

Still pretty good.
