What's that you're eating?

My daughter the culinary student won 1st place in a state wide baking contest this weekend. She will now represent Nebraska in the national competition in Atlanta later this summer.
After winning she drove to to our house to have her pop cook her her favorite meal to celebrate. Prime Ribeye steak, sautéed mushrooms, asparagus and baked potato.
I always feel honored when a kid that can cook circles around me wants me to cook!

Congrats to your daughter - I'm sure you are justifiably proud. And good luck to her it Et-lanta!
 
Stopped at a local beer pub (called EJ Phair Brewing Co in Pittsburg CA) for a late lunch today.

My GF and I shared a small all meat pizza and a couple glasses of an 8% DIPA (with an IBU of 100 - the highest possible IBU). The IPA is brewed by Danville Brewing (in Danville CA) and is called "Chux DIPA"

The pizza and IPA were both very good IMO and were very reasonably priced unlike some food/beer in other places that I've visited recently. ;)
