Stew looks great! I am a big fan of lentils too. They can take on great flavor and don’t take long to get ready.So it started as venison stew. Then I boiled the bone and the little bit that came off I made into a cheesy chili appetizer

Breakfast today. A country style Benedict. Sausage and gravy with poached eggs and some hashbrowns.
Lunch:
DAMN4# of picanha. Onions, celery, garlic, guiness, bacon, seasonings.

Cooked the bacon first, then added onions and celery, then the meat topped with the cooked bacon. Oven at 240 for several hours.

I don’t see this recipe much, but it is one of my favorite meals. Poppyseed chicken.
Meat from 2 chickens, shredded.

Bacon, vidalia onion and garlic.

Mix it all in a bowl with some black pepper, poppyseeds and lemon pepper seasoning. Spread in a dish and bake in the oven until it is hot all the way through and starting to bubble.

Crush a sleeve of ritz crackers, and melt a stick of butter over them with some more poppyseeds. Add these to the top of the casserole.

Back in the oven until crackers start to brown. Serve with mashed potatoes and green peas.
