What's that you're eating?

Trying to control my weight, so I usually worry when adding a product to my diet. Does anyone eat pine nuts regularly? Recently read about their health benefits here https://betterme.world/articles/pine-nuts-calories-benefits-side-effects/ and decided to give them a try. Though most people prefer eating them as snacks, there are many great recipes out there. Tonight I'm going to cook spaghetti with garlicky spinach, parmesan, and toasted pine nuts.

We always keep a bag of pine nuts around. I have to toast them in a pan to enjoy the flavor. Low heat, color them a little, drive out the moisture. Completely changes the flavor in a good way. I grind them to a paste in the mortar and add them into carbonara pasta at the same time as the egg. Walnuts too. Same thing. Real nice in cream sauces.

Had me at pepperoni and bacon, but lost me at mushroom

ETA: Was out last night with some friends and the place had a pizza that was pepperoni, onions, and mushrooms, and I ordered it with bacon in place of the mushrooms.
